Growing Fruit Trees, Bushes and Vines

Whether it’s the fruit of the vine, or from a tree or a bush, gardeners just love to grow ’em. And of course, the reason we grow them, is because we love to eat them.  Here is our fruit list of those you can grow in your backyard.

Many home gardeners are space-constrained. They often think that their backyard is too small to allow them to grow these trees, bushes, or vines. But, there are many dwarf tree varieties that may prove to be a perfect fit for a smallish backyard.

There are also many, many vining and bush-bearing varieties to choose from. Raspberry and Blackberry are probably the best known. They grow upward and take little space. They can be used to make borders around your vegetable garden, or along back property lines. Then there are bush-bearing plants. Blueberry, bushes are attractive, compact, and fit well right in many flower beds.

When considering planting fruits, gardeners take note that they are popular with birds and other animals. They know when to steal your precious gems just as they begin to ripen. However, many of us are bird watchers. So, we want to attract birds to our yard. Fruits and berries will definitely attract them. So, get your camera ready.
