Baked Tomato Recipe Description

 With just three ingredients, this baked tomato recipe is a snap to make.  Place the tomatoes on the top rack, while you are cooking the meat that you will have with it. You won’t be disappointed!

While the recipe calls for baking it in the oven, try it on the grill, too. The nice, smoky flavor is perfect for late summer or early fall meals.

Yield: 4 -8 servings … many people will come back for another second half.

Baked Tomatoes Recipe Ingredients

  • 4 Tomatoes, washed and halved crosswise.

  • 1/4 cup Balsamic Vinaigrette

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan Cheese

Tip: You can also try this recipe, using Italian dressing in place of Balsamic Vinaigrette.

Baked Tomatoes Recipe Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350° F.
  • Remove the stems.
  • Place tomatoes sliced end up, in a 13 X 9-inch baking pan.
  • Drizzle Balsamic Vinaigrette over the tomatoes
  • Sprinkle Parmesan Cheese on top.
  • Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, until the tomatoes are soft, and the cheese is lightly browned.
