Cranberry Apple Pie Recipe Ingredients

  1. Pastry for two 9″ pie crusts
  2. 1 cup granulated sugar
  3. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  4. 1 teaspoon apple pie spice
  5. 4 cups tart apples, peeled and sliced
  6. 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  7. 2 Tablespoons butter or margarine

Directions How to Make Cranberry Apple Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 425 ° F.
  2. First, prepare the pastry.
  3. In a mixing bowl, stir together sugar, flour, and spice.
  4. Line one pasty in a pie plate.
  5. Next, add alternate layers of apples, cranberries, and sugar mixture.
  6. Dot with butter or margarine.
  7. Then, cover the top of the pie with a second pie pastry.
  8. Flute crust along the edge of the pie.
  9. Make slits on top of the pie crust to release steam as it cooks.
  10. Bake 40 to 45 minutes until the top pastry is golden brown.
  11. Remove from oven and cool.
  12. Serve at room temperature, or slightly warm.
