Cheddar Apple Pie Recipe Ingredients

Pastry for two- crust 9-inch pie

2/3 cups sugar

2 tablespoons flour

1 reaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

6 – 7 tart baking apples

1 cup grated orange-colored cheddar cheese 

Directions How to Make Cheddar Apple Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 450° F.
  2. Line the pie plate with one pastry crust.
  3. IN a bowl, combine the sugar, flour and spices. 
  4. Next, toss the apples and cheese into the dry mix.
  5. Pour it into the pie shell, piling it high in the center.
  6. Top the pie with the second crust.
  7. Then, crimp the rim of the pie.
  8. Put two or three slits in the crust to vent steam.
  9. Bake in the oven for ten minutes.
  10. Reduce the heat to 350° F and bake for another 40 to 45 minutes until the crust becomes light brown.
