Apple Oatmeal Cookies Ingredients

1 1/2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

3/4 cup whole wheat flour

1/2 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 cup raisins

1 cup baking apple, peeled and finely chopped

1 egg, slightly beaten

1/2 cup honey

1/2 cups vegetable oil

1/2 cup milk

Directions How to Make Apple Oatmeal Cookies

  1. In a deep fryer, heat oil to 375 ° F.
  2. In a bowl, combine dry ingredients.
  3. Stir to combine.
  4. Next, stir in raisins and apples.
  5. Then, in another large bowl, combine egg, honey, vegetable oil, and milk.
  6. Stir in dry ingredients, mixing until it forms a smooth batter.
  7. Use a teaspoon to drop dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Leave a 2-inch space between cookies.
  9. With clean hands, press down on the cookie dough to form a 1 1/2 inch diameter cookie.
  10. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes. Check the bottom of the cookies a little before this, to assure they are not becoming overdone on the bottom.
  11. Remove from oven and transfer cookies to a cooling rack.
