Bob's Secret Apple Crisp Recipe Description

Apple Crisp is easy to make. It will become one of your family favorites.

Preparation time: 15-20 minutes. Most of the preparation time is to peeling and core the apples.

Apple Crisp Recipe Ingredients

6 cups peeled and cored  apples 

1 cup flour

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup butter or margarine

  Toppers:  Vanilla Ice Cream or Whipped Cream

Apple Crisp Recipe Directions

  1. preheat the oven to 350° F.
  2. Mix flour and sugar in a bowl.
  3. Add butter and blend in well to form an even, crumbly mixture.
  4. Peel apples and slice them into pieces.
  5. Place apples into a shallow, glass baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle margarine, flour, and brown sugar mixture evenly over the apples.
  7. Bake in the oven for 45 minutes, or until apples are soft and a light brown color.
  8. Serve apple crisp warm or hot.

Serving Tips and Suggestions

Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream just before serving. The toppings partially melt on the warm apple crisp.

Kitchen Cleanup Tip

Don’t buy expensive brushes to clean your oven rack. Rather, clean your oven racks with your toothbrush. Simply tie two old toothbrushes together with the bristles facing each other. Then, get to work.
