And this recipe is just as good today, as it was so many years ago. You can use any variety of onion. Creamed Onions Recipe Ingredients

4-6 small onions
1 green pepper, diced
1 cup thin white sauce
Paprika

Creamed Onions Recipe Directions

Peel onions. Cut off top and bottom ends.
In a covered pan, steam onions in about 1 inch of boiling water, until almost tender.
Add diced peppers and continue to steam for a few minutes longer, until peppers are tender.
Drain.
Place onions and pepper into a serving dish.
Cover with white sauce.
Dust with Paprika.
Serve hot.
