How many recipes do you know of feature Brussels Sprouts? Certainly not enough, if you ask me. This very old Brussels Sprouts with Caraway recipe is one we know you will enjoy. And, with just three simple steps, it is quick and easy to make.
Yield: six servings
Did You Know? They are named after Brussels, the capital of Belgium. They were popular in Belgium in the 1500s.
1 quart Brussels Sprouts
2 chicken bullion cubes
1 1/2 cups water
3 Tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
pepper to taste
1 teaspoon caraway seeds
Wash and trim sprouts.
Cook sprouts in boiling water and bullion cubes until tender.
Drain and toss with remaining ingredients.
When you change your bedsheets, don’t stop there. Blankets and other bed covers collect dust and other yucky stuff like dead skin cells. If the weather is good, take them outdoors and thoroughly shake them out. Drape them over the railing of your deck and beat them a few times with a broom.
And, don’t forget your pillow. It also captures dust and other nasty particles.
