Official State Vegetable List

Vegetable Gardening. List of State Vegetable

Do you know what vegetable is your state’s official state vegetable? Surprisingly, as you will see on this list of state vegetables, the majority of states do not have an official one. And, that’s just a shame. We feel strongly that every state should have one.

So, if your state does not have a veggie on this list, we encourage you to take action now. First, decide which vegetable should represent your state. Yes, you certainly can make a recommendation. Of course, the best candidates are those commonly grown in your state. After all, you are the one taking action and promoting it. Then, contact your state legislators and insist upon proclaiming an official vegetable.
