4 medium turnips
Cooked peas
butter or margarine
Salt and pepper to taste
Cut tops from the turnips and hollow them out.
Par-boil for 10-15 minutes until just tender.
Fill with cooked peas.
Add a small dab of butter or margarine.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Broil for 6 – 8 minutes.
Recipe Tip: Instead of broiling, you can grill them for a slightly smokey flavor.
