Pumpkin Cheese Bread Ingredients

2 1/2 cups sugar

1 – 8 ounce package of cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup margarine

4 eggs

16 ounces canned pumpkin or pumpkin puree

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

1 cup chopped nuts

Directions How to Make Pumpkin Cheese Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350 ° F.
  2. First, in a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, cream cheese and margarine with an electric mixer until well blended.
  3. Next, add eggs, and mix together well.
  4. Blend in pumpkin puree.
  5. Then, in a separate bowl, mix together all dry ingredients.
  6. Add dry ingredients to batter, mix together well.
  7. Fold in chopped nuts.
  8. Pour batter into two greased 9 X 5inch loaf pans.
  9. Bake in the oven for one hour.
  10. Test with a toothpick for doneness.
  11. Remove from the oven and allow the bread to cool for a few minutes.
  12. Turn onto a cooling rack.

Serving Tip: Serve the bread warm or cold.
