4-6 medium-sized potatoes
American or cheddar cheese, grated
bacon, crisply cooked, crumbled
sour cream
chives
parsley flakes
Note: Don’t use artificial bacon bits. It just doesn’t taste right.
Bake potatoes in the oven at 350 ° F until done.
Remove potatoes from the oven, cut lengthwise, and scoop out the potato, leaving a little in the shell.
Add a thick layer of cheese.
Top it off with crumbled bacon pieces.
Cook for a few minutes under the broiler, until the cheese has thoroughly melted.
Remove from oven and serve hot with sour cream, fresh chives, and fresh parsley flakes on the side.
Tip: You can also use the microwave to melt the cheese. But, it is better under the broiler.
