Mixed Greens Salad Recipe Description

Here’s a salad mix with an interesting and palette-pleasing taste and texture. Try it with your family, or for a summer picnic. This mixed greens salad recipe can easily be cut in half, or doubled, as needed.

Mixed Greens Salad Ingredients

  • 1 head romaine (Cos) lettuce

  • 1 head chicory or escarole

  • 5 heads endive

  • 2 Tablespoons fresh minced chives or scallions

  • 1/ cup fresh minced parsley

  • 1/2 – 3/4  cup salad dressing (your choice)

  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 cup salad croutons

Recipe Directions

  1. Thoroughly wash and dry greens.
  2. Break greens into bite-size pieces.
  3. In a large serving bowl, toss greens together.
  4. Add fresh chives and parsley. Toss again.
  5. Just before serving, our your favorite salad dressing over the greens.
  6. Top with grated cheese.
  7. Serve with croutons on the side.
