This quick and easy recipe is sure to bring smiles to the dinner table. This is a very, very old lima beans in sour cream recipe. This recipe tastes best with fresh grown beans. However, if you make it after the gardening season, you can use frozen beans, too.

3 cups fresh (2 packages frozen) lima beans
2 Tablespoons chopped onion
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons chopped pimiento
2 Tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 cup sour cream
Dash of pepper
Recipe Variation: Try adding a little parsley or chives. Just sprinkle them on top before serving.
Cook lima beans and chopped onion in boiling water until tender, about 12-15 minutes. Drain.
Add remaining ingredients.
Stir to mix.
Heat thoroughly
Serve hot.
