Leeks Au Gratin Recipe Ingredients

two bunches of leeks

1 teaspoon salt

pepper to taste

3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese

Tip: Try different types of cheeses, if you prefer.

Preparation Directions

  1. Wash and trim the leeks.
  2. Cook the leeks in boiling salt water until they are tender.
  3. Drain and arrange the leeks on a buttered baking dish.
  4. Pepper them to taste.
  5. Sprinkle grated cheese over the leeks.
  6. Heat under broiler until cheese is melted.
  7. Serve Leeks Au Gratin hot.

Recipe Tip: Heat on the grill with the cover closed, for a slightly smoky flavor.
