Herbed Cornbread Recipe
Description: Cornbread is popular for Fall and Thanksgiving meals.
This herbed cornbread recipe is great with summer grilling and camping meals.
It pairs well with fried turkey, too. Try this recipe in a Dutch oven.
2/3 cups milk
1/4 cup yellow mustard
2 packages (8 1/2 oz. each) corn muffin mix
1 1/2 cups finely chopped celery
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
/14 cup pimiento, drained and sliced
1/2 teaspoon sage
1/2 teaspoon thyme
Lightly beat eggs, milk and mustard.
Add remaining ingredients, stirring until batter is slightly lumpy.
Pour batter into a greased 9 inch square pan.
Bake at 400 ° F for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
