Coleslaw is a popular dish served with fish fries and any seafood meals. It’s a perfect pairing. It’s great with any summer meals, too. And, we have no doubt this creamy coleslaw recipe is among the best you’ve ever tasted.
BTW: Do you call it Cole Slaw, or Coleslaw? Either way, this recipe is a good one!

1 head of cabbage, shredded
2 carrots, shredded
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons chopped onion
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon white vinegar
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon celery seed
Salt and pepper to taste
Shred cabbage and carrots into a large bowl. Shred finely, or more coarsely, the way you like it.
Mix together the remaining ingredients in a separate bowl.
Add the mixture to the cabbage. Mix well.
Cover and chill 1-2 hours before serving.
Ps. Don’t use store-bought dressing. Make your own coleslaw dressing. It’s quick and easy.
