This Cream of Pumpkin Soup recipe makes a hearty dish, perfect for a cold fall day. Serve it for lunch or dinner. Either way, you will thoroughly enjoy it. One of the best times to make this soup is in the Fall when pumpkins are plentiful. However, you can make it any time of the year. If fresh pumpkins are not available, simply use pumpkin puree.
Did You Know? Pumpkins are grown all over the world on six of the seven continents, with Antarctica being the sole exception. They are even grown in Alaska.
1 pound of pumpkin flesh
2 cups milk
1 onion, finely diced
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
1 Tablespoon flour
1 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
The metal grate behind your refrigerator is called a “condenser”. It removes heat from inside your refrigerator. Most of us never think to clean it. However, over time it gets heavily coated with dust and grime. This reduces the efficiency of the refrigerator and can even be a fire hazard. Clean it at least once a year.
First, roll the refrigerator away from the wall. Be especially careful not to damage the water line to the ice maker (if you have one). Then, use a vacuum cleaner to remove the dust, dirt, and grime. Also, you can clean up the floor underneath where the refrigerator stands.
