Blue Cheese Lettuce Salad Recipe Ingredients

1 head Iceberg lettuce

2 three-ounce packages of cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese

2 Tablespoons milk

1/4 teaspoon dry mustard

dash of ground red pepper

dash of black pepper

Italian dressing

parsley flakes

Homemade salad croutons

Blue Cheese Lettuce Salad Recipe Directions

  1. Remove the core of lettuce, rinse and drain. Then set aside.

  2. Combine cream cheese, blue cheese, milk, mustard, red pepper, and black pepper.

  3. Spoon ingredients into the cavity of the lettuce. You will have to open the cavity somewhat, to make room for the ingredients.

  4. Wrap in plastic and chill for 6-8 hours.

  5. Remove from the refrigerator just before serving and sprinkle parsley flakes on top.

  6. Cut into six wedges.

  7. Serve with Italian dressing.

  8. Serve Homemade salad croutons on the side.
