1 pound fresh asparagus spears
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons minced onion
1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon parsley flakes
Did You Know? Asparagus itself has no fat or cholesterol. Of course, that’s before you put anything on it.
Whisk together butter, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, onion, and garlic.
Place asparagus in a covered, microwaveable bowl.
Pour sauce over asparagus.
Place cover loosely on the bowl.
Microwave until asparagus is desired texture about 4-5 minutes.
Tops with parsley flakes.
