1 to 1/2 pounds fresh asparagus
1/4 cup water
1 – 3 ounce package of cream cheese
1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 teaspoons chives, chopped
Put asparagus and water into a pot.
Cook asparagus until tender, then drain.
To make the chive sauce, mix cream cheese, milk, and chives together.
Heat chive sauce slowly on the stovetop or in the microwave, stirring occasionally until warm.
Place asparagus on a serving dish and pour the chive sauce over it.
Tip: Try the chive sauce over other cooked vegetables, like broccoli or cauliflower.
