Time for cooking on the grill!? Certainly, anytime is grilling time. This great asparagus and mixed vegetable grill recipe features asparagus, along with a variety of other fresh garden vegetables. They blend together well.

2 Tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons basil leaves, chopped
2 Tablespoons garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 Tablespoons olive oil
10 fresh Asparagus Spears
1 red or yellow bell pepper, cut into thin strips
1 medium zucchini, cut into thin 2″ to 3″ strips
1 medium yellow squash, cut into thin 2″ to 3″ strips
2 small potatoes, cut into 1/4″ round slices
1small red onion, cut into 1/4″ round slices
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, basil, garlic, salt and black pepper.
Place vegetables in a large bowl.
Drizzle olive oil over vegetables and toss to coat well.
Add seasoning mixture and toss to coat vegetables.
Place vegetables in a grill basket.
Grill over medium heat for about 15 minutes, until vegetables are tender.
Occasionally turn vegetables as they are grilling.
