1/3 cup sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups beet liquid (from cooking beets)
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine
First, mix together the cornstarch, sugar, and salt.
Next, blend in the beet liquid, vinegar, and butter.
Then, cook over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Add beets to the sauce.
Let it stand for 10 minutes to blend flavors.
Lastly, reheat and serve them while hot.
