Did You Know? In 2014, Tony Glover of the United Kingdom grew the world record largest onion. It weighed 18 pounds, 11.84 ounces. An onion that big makes a lot of soup!
4 cups thinly sliced Vidalia, White, or Spanish Onions
8 cups Beef Broth
4 Tablespoons Burgundy Wine
2 Teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tablespoons Butter or Margarine
Baguette or French bread
Sliced provolone or mozzarella cheese
If you’re an avid reader, there are two great ways to save money on books. First, get a library card. Then, you can borrow an endless supply of books for free. Second, go to a used book sale. Many libraries regularly hold used book sales as a fundraiser. You can buy paperbacks for as low as fifty cents. Or, select hardcover books for as little as a buck. Garage sales often sell used books, too.
