Three Bean Salad Recipe

Description: Here's a great way to use some of the beans in your garden. And, if you have other veggies like peas or lima beans that are ripe right now, don't hesitate to slip a few into the recipe. You'll be glad that you did! 


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (or one 16 oz.can) of green beans

  • 2 cups (or one 16 oz.can) of yellow wax beans

  • 2 cups (or one 16 oz.can) of red kidney beans

  • 1 medium red or white onion, sliced thin

  • 3 Tablespoons sugar

  • 1/4 cup vinegar

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Preparation Directions:

  1. Mix all of the beans and onion slices in a large bowl.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix sugar, vinegar.

  3. Add a little salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Pour the mixture over the beans and mix together.

  5. Chill and serve.
