Description: This is grandma's favorite recipe. Each year, we give Grandma pumpkins, plenty of them. A short while later, the grand kids are rewarded with mouth watering, pumpkin cookies. It's one of the things that makes us look forward to going  "over the river and through the woods..."

This is the best pumpkin cookie recipe of them all, partly because it is made with love!

1 cup Shortening
3/4 cup Sugar
1 cup Cooked, strained Pumpkin(or canned)
1 Egg
2 cups Flour
1 cup Raisins
1/2 cup Molasses

1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon Salt

  2. Cream shortening and sugar.
  3. Mix in pumpkin, egg, and molasses.
  4. Stir in dry ingredients, spices and raisins.
