Grandma's Favorite
Description: This is grandma's favorite recipe. Each year, we give
Grandma pumpkins, plenty of them. A short while later, the grand kids are
rewarded with mouth watering, pumpkin cookies. It's one of the things that
makes us look forward to going "over the river and through the woods..."
This is the best pumpkin cookie recipe of them all, partly because it is
made with love!
Ingredients:
1 cup |
Shortening |
3/4 cup |
Sugar |
1 cup |
Cooked, strained Pumpkin(or canned) |
1 |
Egg |
2 cups |
Flour |
1 cup |
Raisins |
1/2 cup |
Molasses |
1 teaspoon |
Baking Soda |
1 teaspoon |
Cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon |
Nutmeg |
1/2 teaspoon |
Salt |

How to Make Pumpkin Cookies:

Pre-heat oven to 375 ° F.

Cream shortening and sugar.

Mix in pumpkin, egg, and molasses.

Stir in dry ingredients, spices and raisins.

Drop cookie batter, by the spoonful, onto an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake cookies 10 to 12 minutes.
