How to Make Pumpkin Cheese Bread

Description: Pumpkin Cheese Bread is another recipe that we are certain will become one of your fall favorites.

Yield: 2 loaves

Pumpkin Cheese Bread Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 - 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 16 ounces canned pumpkin or pumpkin puree
  • 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

How to Make Pumpkin Cheese Bread:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, cream cheese and margarine with an electric mixer until well blended.
  3. Add eggs, and mix together well.
  4. Blend in pumpkin puree.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together all dry ingredients.
  6. Add dry ingredients to batter, mix together well.
  7. Fold in chopped nuts.
  8. Pour batter into two greased 9 X 5inch loaf pans.
  9. Bake in oven for one hour.
  10. Test with toothpick for doneness.
  11. Remove from oven and allow to col for a few minutes.
  12. Turn onto a cooling rack.

Serving Tip: Serve the bread warm or cold.
