Peas with Cheese Recipe

Description:  This recipe is quick and easy to make. Use cheddar or American cheese. The kids prefer American.

Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups peas

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • pepper to taste

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 cup grated cheddar or American cheese

  • 2 Tablespoons minced pimiento

Preparation  Directions:

  • Cook peas in boiling water until peas are tender.

  • Drain.

  • Add salt, pepper and milk. Stir to mix.

  • Pour into a greased baking dish.

  • Sprinkle cheese over the top.

  • Add pimiento.

  • Bake in oven at 375 degrees for 20 minutes, until cheese has melted.

  • Serve hot.

Tip: You can easily cut this recipe in half for smaller, groups.
