Peas and Onions in Lemon Butter Recipe
Description: Peas go good with almost anything. They taste especially
great, if picked fresh from your garden.
Ingredients:

2 cups a fresh picked peas (or, 2 -10z. packages)

4 medium sized onions, peeled and sliced
-
3 Tablespoons butter or margarine
-
1/2 cup chopped onions
-
1 teaspoon sugar
-
2 teaspoons sugar
-
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
-
1/2 teaspoon salt
-
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
-
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
-
1/4 cup water
Preparation Directions:

Cook peas in boiling water until tender.

In a separate pan, cook sliced onions until tender.

Remove from heat, and drain both.

In a saucepan, melt butter.

Add chopped onions, cook for 5 minutes on low heat.

Stir in remaining ingredients, and heat thoroughly.

Place peas and onions into a large bowl.

Pour in sauce, and toss well to mix.

Serve hot.
