Dirty pillows are not good for your health. Surely, you wash the pillowcases on a regular basis. However, pillows get dirty, too. Pillows should be washed every couple of months. The washing machine removes bacteria, body oils, dust mites, and dander. Many of these items cause allergic reactions. Almost all pillows can go into the washing machine. The exception is foam pillows. Read the tag on the pillow before tossing it into the washer.
