Grilled Green Bean and Mushrooms Recipe

Description:  Summer grillin' time gives us the opportunity to grill some of our fresh grown veggies. That smoky taste really adds flavor.

Serves: 6


Ingredients:

  • 3-4 cups green beans, cleaned, cut into 2" pieces.

  • 4 ounces mushrooms, sliced

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine

  • 1/2 small onion or 1 shallot, sliced

  • salt and pepper to taste


Preparation Directions:

  1. Place two sheets of aluminum foil on top of each other for double thickness.

  2. Place beans onto the aluminum foil.

  3. Add mushrooms and onions.

  4. Top with butter or margarine, salt and pepper.

  5. Fold and seal aluminum foil

  6. Grill on medium heat for about 20 minutes, turning 2 or 3 times.

  7. Open the top of foil to allow a little smoke to enter as you grill another 10 minutes, or until beans are tender.

  8. Serve hot.
