Dutch Spinach Recipe Ingredients

4 slices bacon

3 cups chopped fresh spinach

3 Tablespoons flour

1 1/2 cups water

2 Tablespoons sugar

1 Tablespoon vinegar

1/2 teaspoon salt

/18 teaspoon black pepper

2 hard-boiled eggs

Recipe Directions

Fry bacon until crisp.
Keep drippings in the pan.
Chop bacon coarsely.
Toss bacon and spinach in a salad bowl.
Blend flour and bacon drippings.
Add water, sugar, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
Cook on low heat until thick, stirring constantly.
Allow to cool slightly.
Pour mixture over spinach.
Coarsely chop hard-boiled eggs and sprinkle over the spinach.
