It’s quick and easy. This cucumbers in sour cream recipe is a cool way to eat cucumbers on a hot day.

2 cucumbers, peeled and sliced
2 teaspoons salt
1 cup sour cream
8 teaspoons vinegar
4 teaspoons fresh chives
1 teaspoon dill weed
Black pepper to taste
Dash of hot pepper – optional
Sprinkle salt over cucumbers. Let stand for 30 minutes. Drain any water off.
Sour cream and remaining ingredients in a bowl.
Fold cucumber slices into the sauce.
Chill in the refrigerator before serving.
