Attention Butternut squash fans…. you won’t want to miss this great Butternut Squash Au Gratin recipe. It’s one you will make over and over again every Fall.
Did you know? Butternut squash is a “winter squash”, But, they are not grown in the winter. They get this name as they store well for long periods of time. So, you can be eating it all winter long!
2 | Large Butternut Squash |
1/2 | Purple Onion (or yellow onion), peeled and sliced thin |
1 1/2 cups. | Swiss Cheese, grated |
1 1/2 cups | Romano Cheese, grated |
1 Tbs. | Garlic, minced |
1/2 tsp. | Nutmeg |
2 cups | Heavy Cream |
4 Tbs. | Butter or Margarine |
1/2 cup | Breadcrumbs |
Salt and Pepper, to taste |
Are your baking sheets looking a bit grungy? You can restore them with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide.
Sprinkle the sheet with baking soda. Then, lightly spray it with hydrogen peroxide. Next, sprinkle a little more baking soda on top.
Let it sit for an hour or two. Finally, wash the sheet off and see the difference!
