Arugula with Nutmeg Recipe Description

Arugula with Nutmeg Recipe Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds Arugula

1 Tbs. Virgin olive oil

1 Tbs. Butter or margarine

1/4 tstp. Ground black pepper

1/4 tsp. Salt

1/4 tsp. Nutmeg

Note: While the arugula cooks down, this recipe makes a big batch. Accordingly, you can cut the ingredients in half as needed, for smaller groups.

Arugula with Nutmeg Recipe Directions

  1. Wash and drain Arugula. Then, remove the stems.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter with the olive oil.
  3. Add 1/2 of the Arugula. As it begins to soften, add the remainder. Then, cover with a lid.
  4. Cook for 1-2 minutes on medium-high heat, until arugula is soft and wilted.
  5. Add spices and mix well.
  6. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally until most of the liquid has boiled away.
  7. Serve hot.
