Asparagus and Veggies Recipe

Description:  Take some fresh garden grown asparagus, along with a with minced veggies and voila, you have a delicious hit. Try variations of this asparagus recipe, with other veggies, including beans, cabbage, cauliflower, and squash.


  • 4 cups fresh asparagus

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup diced celery

  • 1 teaspoon minced onion

  • 1 teaspoon minced green pepper

  • 3 Tablespoons butter or margarine

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese (try other cheeses, too)

Preparation Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Place all ingredients, except cheese, into a covered casserole dish.

  3. Bake in oven for 30-40, until asparagus is tender.

  4. Sprinkle cheese on top of the asparagus,and bake another 10 minutes to melt the cheese.
