Bob and Debbie's French Onion Soup Recipe
Looking for a French Onion Soup that's even better than the awesome one you
had at your favorite restaurant? Try Bob and Debbie's recipe with your fresh
picked garden onions. You will find yourself eating French Onion Soup at
home on a regular basis.
Ingredients:

4 cups thinly sliced Vidalia, White, or Spanish Onions

8 cups Beef Broth
-
4 Tablespoons Burgundy Wine
-
2 Teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
-
2 Tablespoons Butter or Margarine
-
Baguette or French bread
-
Sliced provolone or mozzarella cheese
Preparation Directions:

Cut several thick slices of baguette or French bread. Leave out in the air
to dry, or place in the oven on "warm" until they are dry.

Sautee onions in butter or margarine until tender. Add a little water from
time to time as you sautee them, to keep the pan from drying out.

Put all ingredients into a pot.

Bring to a boil. Then, turn down to simmer for one hour.

Pour soup into crock bowls or soup bowls.

Add a slice of dry baguette or French bread.

Top with provolone or mozzarella cheese.

Set oven to "broil. Place soup into the oven and broil until cheese begins
to turn brown.

Serve piping hot.
